Sweet and Spicy Almonds

During the summer months, everyone seems to be looking for a good snack that travels well.  Look no further.  These delicious almonds are super easy to make, pack just the right amount of flavorful punch, and are great to take hiking, driving, to work, etc.  Almonds are a delightfully healthy nut. Olivia put together this tasty concoction.  Enjoy a few and let us know what you think!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 cups unblanched whole almonds

Directions


  • In a small bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Add almonds; toss to coat. Spread into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan.
  • Bake at 325° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Cool. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 2 cups.
